find本身是及物动词，后面可以直接接名词(包括动名词）、介词、代词等作为宾语。例如：I find a car.我找到了一辆车。

find常用的短语用法有：

（1）find sb doing sth发现某人正在做某事。

I found her cooking for the children.

我找到她时她正在给孩子们做饭。

（2）find + sb + sth. 为某人找到某物：

I wonder if you could find me a deck of cards?

（3）find + sth + 介词：

Thrushes are a protected species so you will not find them on any menu.

（4）find + 宾语从句：

The two biologists found,to their surprise,that both groups of birds survived equally well…

（5）find it + adj. + to do sth.
